All Your Questions Before Your First Flight

Whether you’re looking to create or redesign a website, launch an online store, develop a brand identity, create marketing materials, produce a video, or get support for a scientific project: find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our services, how we work, and what you need to prepare before getting started with Bizbold.

I'm starting my own business—when should I develop my brand identity?

Ideally, a visual identity is developed once a company’s positioning, offerings, and target audience begin to take shape. It can then serve as the foundation for the website, social media, marketing materials, signage, and packaging. For a launch, it’s not necessary to create everything right away: the important thing is to have a visual identity that’s strong enough to evolve alongside the company.

Do you work with companies outside of Liège?

Yes. Bizbold is an agency based in Liège that supports businesses, freelancers, and project leaders throughout Wallonia and Belgium. Much of the creation process can be carried out remotely, with discussions and presentations organized throughout the project.

My business is growing, but my brand image no longer reflects who we are. Do we need to start from scratch?

Not necessarily. A company may evolve faster than its brand identity: new services, a new customer base, a change in positioning, or a move upmarket. In such cases, we analyze what should be retained and what needs to change. A redesign can range from a refresh of the existing brand identity to a completely new one.

Does a small business really need a professional visual identity?

A visual identity isn’t just for big brands. For a freelancer, a small business, an SME, or a startup, it’s especially important for establishing a consistent foundation and avoiding the need to rebuild your brand image differently for every new medium. The level of support can then be tailored to the size and needs of the project.

I already have a logo, but no real brand identity to go with it. Can you build on that?

Yes. If the logo still works, it can serve as the starting point for a much more comprehensive visual identity. We can develop a colour palette, typefaces, graphic elements, and layout principles based on it to ensure a consistent brand identity across all your media.

Our customers are familiar with our logo—can we modernize our image without losing our identity?

Yes. A rebrand can preserve the elements that make your brand recognizable while modernizing its visual identity. Colors, typefaces, proportions, graphic elements, and the visual system can evolve without necessarily breaking with the company’s historical identity.

We designed our logo ourselves when we launched the company. Is it possible to redesign it now?

Of course. This is a common situation for companies that start out with a simple brand identity before becoming more professional. We can build on the existing concept if it’s still relevant, or explore a new direction if your business and positioning have changed significantly since the launch.

Our communication lacks consistency across our website, social media, and documents. Do we really need to redesign our logo?

No. Sometimes the problem isn't so much the logo itself as the lack of a cohesive visual identity built around it. We can keep your logo and work on the artistic direction, colors, typography, layouts, and various visual elements to create a unified look for your branding.

We already have a website. Can you build on what we have, or do we need to start from scratch?

When undertaking a redesign, we prefer to rebuild the site from scratch on a solid foundation rather than gradually modify a site that we did not develop ourselves. Building on an existing structure may require us to work around technical choices, inconsistencies, or limitations that will complicate future updates to the site. However, we analyze the existing site to identify what should be retained: relevant content, well-indexed pages, useful features, graphic elements, or navigation patterns. This information serves as a starting point for our planning, but the web design and development are completely reimagined. This approach allows us to control the site’s structure, performance, mobile responsiveness, and maintenance, while avoiding the retention of technical issues that could resurface later.

What kind of budget should you set aside for creating a website?

At Bizbold, website development starts at €1,500 (excluding VAT). The final price is then determined based on the project specifications: number of pages, web design, content creation, e-commerce, multilingual support, SEO, integrations, or specific features. A website that appears simple may still require significant work if it calls for a personalized experience or specific features. After an initial discussion, we define the project’s actual needs in order to provide a clear and tailored quote.

Our company is growing rapidly. Will the website be able to keep up?

Yes. The site is designed to gradually accommodate new content, services, projects, team members, or products without having to start from scratch with each update. Future needs are addressed from the outset of the project to ensure the structure is flexible enough. Some major features may require a new development phase, but the site’s foundation will remain ready to evolve alongside your business and your project.

Our company already uses booking, payment, and management tools. Can they be integrated with the website?

In many cases, yes. The website can be connected to various tools: a booking system, online payment, newsletter, CRM, calendar, management software, or automation tools. However, feasibility depends on the integrations offered by each tool and the desired level of connectivity. We therefore analyze your operations before development to ensure a reliable solution and avoid unnecessary steps in your day-to-day workflow.

Will we be able to easily make changes to our website after it goes live?

Yes. Content that is likely to change regularly—such as your projects, services, team, news, or products—can be structured so that it can be easily updated without affecting the site’s design. Training is provided to show you how to manage these elements on your own. And if you’d prefer to delegate updates or more technical changes, Bizbold can also continue to support you after the site goes live.

We need to launch our website by a specific date. How much time should we allow?

The timeline depends on the number of pages, the content to be created, the features, and how quickly approvals are granted. A simple showcase website can be completed in a few weeks, while an online store or a project involving specialized development will take longer. If there is a launch date that must be met, it is important to let us know during our initial discussion. We can then establish a realistic schedule and identify which elements to prioritize.

Could a website redesign cause us to lose our Google search rankings?

A poorly planned redesign can indeed lead to a drop in visibility. To minimize this risk, we analyze the pages and content already indexed, retain what works, and set up the necessary redirects when page URLs change. We also refine the site’s new structure, content, and performance so that the redesign can serve as an opportunity to improve its search engine optimization in the long term.

We need a website, but we don't have any text or photos ready yet. Can you still help us?

Yes. We can help you organize the information, identify the key messages, and draft the necessary content. Depending on the project, Bizbold can also produce photographs, videos, or graphic elements that will help present your company in a more human and compelling way.

We don't have anyone to handle communications full-time. What's the best solution?

It all depends on the time and resources available internally. We can handle certain steps, produce your content on a regular basis, or mentor a member of your team so they can gradually become self-sufficient. The goal is to build a realistic structure rather than a communication schedule that’s impossible to maintain.

Our business relies mainly on word of mouth. Are social media really useful?

They don’t necessarily have to replace word-of-mouth. On the contrary, they can complement it: when someone hears about your company and then searches for your name online, your content allows them to learn about your work, your team, your approach, and your expertise even before they contact you.

We have a lot to show, but we never know what to post. Can you help us?

Yes. A lack of ideas often stems from focusing on finding topics to publish about rather than looking at what’s already happening within the company. Your projects, your clients, your expertise, your teams, your methods, or the questions you’re regularly asked can all become content. We can work with you to identify these opportunities and organize them into a long-term editorial strategy.

Do you have to post on social media every day to stay visible?

No. A frequent posting schedule is only worthwhile if it can be sustained and if the content actually adds value. For many companies, a few relevant, regular posts are more realistic than a daily presence that’s difficult to maintain. The right posting frequency depends on your goals, your audience, and your ability to produce content.

We feel uncomfortable in front of a camera. Can we still make interesting videos?

Yes. Not all videos require you to speak directly to the camera. Structured interviews, voice-overs, demonstrations, behind-the-scenes footage, project highlights, or more scripted formats allow you to find an approach that suits your personality and your business.

Facebook is already working well for our company. Is it really worth it to be on Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok as well?

Not necessarily. Being present everywhere isn't a strategy in and of itself. The choice depends mainly on your audience, your business, the content you can produce, and your goals. We prefer to focus our efforts on a few relevant channels rather than create multiple accounts that are difficult to maintain.

Is it possible to shoot several videos in a single day to have enough content for several months?

Yes. In fact, this is the approach we prefer when the project lends itself to it. By preparing the topics and formats in advance, a single shoot can yield multiple videos to be released over time. This reduces production constraints and allows us to build up a library of consistent content.

Is it worth creating videos if we don't have many followers on our social media accounts?

Yes. The number of followers isn't the only metric to consider. Videos can be used on social media, but also on your website, your Google Business Profile, your sales presentations, or your marketing campaigns. Certain formats can also reach people who don't yet follow your business.

Can our researchers help create content?

Yes, and their involvement is often invaluable. We organize these interactions in a way that allows us to draw on their expertise without unnecessarily increasing their workload. Through interviews, existing documents, scoping meetings, and interim reviews, we are able to transform their knowledge into structured and accessible content.

Where does the scientific expertise behind this service come from?

This expertise is based on our collaboration with Illumine Sciences. Before launching her career as a freelance scientific illustrator and graphic designer, Adeline completed a thesis and worked in the private scientific sector. This background allows her to understand the realities, terminology, and specific requirements of scientific projects, and to translate them into accessible and accurate visual content. Bizbold complements this expertise with its skills in web development, communication, and content creation.

Our project is aimed at an international audience. Can you provide a multilingual website or other multilingual materials?

Yes. The website’s architecture and various content formats can be designed from the outset to support multiple languages. We can incorporate translations provided by your teams or work with specialised translators when the technical complexity of the content requires specialist scientific translation expertise.

Our business is very technical. How can we explain it in a way that’s easy to understand without oversimplifying it?

We begin by identifying the essential information, the audience’s level of knowledge, and the purpose of the material. The goal is not to strip away scientific complexity, but to structure it and convey it using appropriate language, visuals, and user experience. The content is then reviewed with your teams to ensure its accuracy.

We already have a lot of scientific documents. Can you turn them into more accessible content?

Yes. Articles, white papers, reports, presentations, posters, diagrams, or research findings can serve as source material. We can restructure them and adapt them into web pages, infographics, presentations, animations, videos, or social media content, depending on the target audience.

Can you communicate differently with scientists, investors, and the general public?

Yes. The same project is presented differently to the scientific community, funding partners, healthcare professionals, and the general public. We can tailor the level of detail, vocabulary, arguments, visuals, and formats while maintaining a consistent identity.

How do you ensure that published scientific information is accurate?

We work with the information, data, and sources provided by your teams. The content is structured and formatted by Bizbold and Illumine Sciences, then submitted to you for approval before publication. Final scientific approval remains the responsibility of the appropriate individuals within your organization.

Can you work on a confidential project or one that hasn't been published yet?

Yes. We can work on research, innovations, or products that have not yet been made public and sign a confidentiality agreement when the project requires it. The information shared, access rights, and individuals involved can be restricted according to your internal policies.
